ORC

Manifesto

A manifesto for robotics
at Oxford.

Oxford should be one of the best places in the world to build robots.

The university has the ingredients: world-class research, technical students, ambitious founders, deep science, engineering talent and proximity to the UK's robotics ecosystem.

But talent alone is not enough.

Robotics needs community. It needs hardware. It needs labs, mentors, workshops, funding, shared tools, real projects and people willing to build across disciplines.

Oxford Robotics Club exists to become that connective layer.

We are here to bring together the students who want to build, the researchers pushing the frontier, the founders turning ideas into companies, and the partners who can help make serious robotics projects possible.

We are starting simply: a mailing list, a community, technical events, workshops, hackathons and conversations with people building in the real world.

The long-term ambition is bigger.

Make Oxford the UK's centre of robotics.

Make it normal for students here to build real machines.

Make it easier to move from curiosity to prototype, from prototype to research, and from research to company.

If you want to build, learn, research, sponsor, mentor, hire or help, join us.
